Woman flies from Nottingham East Midlands to Poland for dentist
10.02.06
A Nottingham woman flew to Poland yesterday for dental treatment. She took the flight to a Polish dentist because she says she cannot afford to go to the dentist in the UK.
Sonja McCarthy travelled about a thousand miles to go for the appointment in Lodz, Poland. She took the first Ryanair flight from Nottingham East Midlands Airport to get two fillings done.
Ms McCarthy said: 'The return flight was £30 and the dental treatment itself £20, which is £50 and yet it's over £100 for the treatment alone in Nottingham and I can't afford that.'
