Suspended sentences for Ryanair life jacket thieves

Budget airline Ryanair has confirmed that two British passengers have each been given four-month suspended jail sentences by a Spanish court for stealing three life-jackets from a flight from Nottingham East Midlands airport.
The passengers flew from Nottingham East Midlands to Barcelona Girona on January 6. Ryanair spokesman Peter Sherrard said: 'The safety of our aircraft, passengers and crew is Ryanair's number-one priority at all times and we welcome this decision.
'It acts as a strong deterrent to the tiny minority of passengers who are guilty of stealing important safety equipment from aircraft. We have now banned these passengers from flying with Ryanair.'
